bags of Japanese fun!

I was browsing various blogs the other night when I came across a fabulous couple of bags that Maria had made from the most fantastic tutorial here. I'm in the market for a new messenger bag for when I'm shopping and need my hands free (my Miche is my everyday bag but the short handles mean there's often a hand keeping it on my shoulder) and I loved the design of this. So I rummaged and found some fabulous Kokka fabric I had bought in the spring just because I loved it. I knew it would make a brilliant bag!
Hee!! The tutorial is absolutely fantastic. There's a pocket on the back and one on the inside for phones and keys. I haven't decided on a fastening, yet. I think some of Sooz's iron-on velcro may be just the ticket!

Geez, I'm using Blogger's new editor to write this, it's all over the place! Gah. Anyway, make this bag, it is fantastic!

  2. Oooh that is so lovely - mind you I have just paid out £7.50 for an Amy Butler pattern as I couldnt find a free alternative so I need to get cracking on that first (needs so much material though 1.5yds x 44" twice and 2.5yds x 44" once!) I only bought a couple of metres and it also needs 3 zips so I need to go shopping again before I begin it!!!

Hi! I'll try really hard to reply to comments by email (unless you're a no-reply Blogger in which case I can't!) because I love getting your messages but I'm a working mum and don't always manage - I read and appreciate every single one!
