I think I could be but don't they look nice all lined up? And you can totally see the skill progression as you go along - my last one was actually pretty neat. Points all matched and everything!! *grins*
P.S. I'm the "featured Blogger Quilt Festival quilter" at Amy's Creative Side today (Amy is the awesome Park City Girl - she's got a book coming out, y'know! So exciting!!) and I feel like I've snuck into the big girl's playground! I'm just waiting for someone to notice and send me back to the new kids playpen. *grins* If you've followed the linkie from Amy's blog then "Hiya!!" *waves madly* and please say hello. It would be lovely to hear from you!!
Eeek! These pillows are beautiful!!! I found you via Amy -- what a fun blog you have. When I first read your sidebar and it said you live with your wee Chook, I thought it meant a rooster LOL. My son just recently put his teeth through his lip too -- only it was his upper lip, he's 25, and he was playing basketball. I hope your little sweetie is feeling better!
ReplyDeleteThese pillows are awesome and congrats on being featured on Amy's blog!
ReplyDeleteWow Lynz...these are great....I need to learn how to make those. My mom-in-law has a beautiful quilt like that she made about 40 years ago out of leftover pieces from her kids clothes. It is awesome. I'd love to make her a couple of huge pillows like those for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMust put that on my list.!:)
You'll be my go-to person when I have questions!!:)
Yes, I've followed the link from Amy and love your quilts, especially your first quilt for a baby - in BLACK - fabulous! I'm down here in the Peak District, sitting under a blue sky supposedly full of ash. Kids home for easter holidays still so can't quilt too much which is a bit frustrating!
ReplyDeleteFantastic pillows. Crisp, clean, and bright. Perfect for summer. I found the tutorial. Hope I can try this out soon. Thank you for sharing. You have a great blog.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Indeed, I did find you through Amy, but I must say I'm surprised I didn't make my way here on my own before now. I've admired photos of your work on Flickr for quite a bit now, and I believe we're part of a few of the same quilt-alongs and swaps! Pleased to make your acquaintance!
ReplyDeleteHI! Just stumbled across your fabby blog and today you have officially made me into a green eyed monster! Jealous?! I think so! Not only do you live in Scotland (I LURVE Scotland and Hubby and I have been debating the viability of a move for some time now!) but you have also created the MOST sensational cushions I have seen in ages! These are so striking! I love this technique but, as a newbie, I am totally intimidated by it! It's a sunny friday and you've given me something beautiful to look at so sending you love love love xxx
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being the featured blogger! I was so excited to see it was you today!!!! These pillows are just amazing.
ReplyDeleteHey! It's you over there! Congratulations Lynz, couldn't have been happier to see you over on Amy's blog! Great cathedral windows too!
ReplyDeleteHiya! I followed the link over - fabulous interview, and incredible quilts. Love your Cathedral Windows pillows. You are one crazy lady - too much fun!
ReplyDeletehey. found you via amy's blog. You're now bookmarked! I'm a jock living in nottingham and am currently on my 3rd quilt so loving all these blogs that provide help and inspiration. Might even try the cathdral pillows - eek!
ReplyDeleteI cannot WAIT to make my own army of pillows! I've never seen anything like these! I think these would be the best gift ever. Not to mention all lined up on the bed, couch, shelf, window seat, park bench, mantle, bookshelf...
ReplyDeleteI came from Amy's blog also, loved your interview and am glad to become a follower.
ReplyDeleteHave a God Filled Day
