running, running, running...

I've been playing myself making another table runner from those adorable Mendocino FQ's. Cute, aren't they? And I had a bash at some prairie points...
...they're right fiddly! I'm not convinced the angles go with the soft lines of the fabric but, hey, I've only lost a 2 1/2 in strip off each quarter - plenty more to play with! I got some perfect Moda "Neptune" for the backing but I haven't a clue how I'm going to quilt this one. I have a friend in mind to beg an idea from! Maybe tomorrow I'll finish it. If the buttons and ricrac ever arrive. Oh, and I've birthday cupcakes to bake as well! Chookie is 7 on Friday!!!

  1. LOVE the runner! And I adore little prairie points, they may be fiddly but you've got the ickle fingers to take on the task! :)

The runner is cute, the fabrics are so sweet! Which Neptune do you have for the back?

What are you planning for the zigzag quilt? I tossed it around in my head all night and came to the decision that I have no idea of what I'm going to do mine out of yet, but I know I'll be using fabrics with small prints as large graphics cut up into little bits just don't do it for me.

I also know- we're going to have more fun! Lucky Sarah that won that machine, huh? I didn't need it, but would have loved to have won it. Maybe it would be a better quilting machine....

Hi! I'll try really hard to reply to comments by email (unless you're a no-reply Blogger in which case I can't!) because I love getting your messages but I'm a working mum and don't always manage - I read and appreciate every single one!
